We love children and families at St George’s!  We are passionate about kids meeting with Jesus and having fun whether that’s in our Sunday morning groups or at our activities during the week. Our aim is that our work helps children explore and develop their faith within a creative community.

We aim to be Bible based and Spirit led, with an emphasis on relevant teaching themes and helping parents continue exploring faith with their kids throughout the week. We practice prayer and reflection as well as listening to God for each other too (prophecy). We also learn stories and verses from the bible and seek to make sense of how we apply these to our lives.

All our sessions are high energy and fun but the focus of the morning is to learn more about God and to set aside time to focus on what he might be saying to us. .

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

We are so excited by some of the events we’ve got planned to celebrate Christmas this year at St George’s – Our theme is all based around ‘God With Us’ exploring how Jesus is with us all year round, not just at Christmas time. Our brand new toddler group launches next year – Join us from Monday 17th January from 10:00-11:30am in the main church building! If you look after pre-school children we’d love to meet you and create space for your little ones to explore and grow in a safe environment.

Sunday Morning’s

We are so exited to be able to begin the process of bringing our kids work back into church. We’ll starting slowly, but we hope this will mark the start of a new journey as we look towards the future, here’s what you need to know.

What’s Involved? Each week we’ve planned a fun and interactive teaching session, full of Bible stories, games, crafts and more. There’ll be space to ask questions and explore the Bible together with a great Kids team leaders.

Who is it for? From September we’re running one group for primary aged children, our little and big stars will be combined together. We have a kids area at the back of church to help entertain little ones, we hope to start up a pre-school group very soon!

What do I need to know? Our sessions run out of our 10:45am service, we all start together alongside the rest of the church family then after 10-15 minutes the kids will be taken over to the church hall by their leaders and returned at the end of the service. You don’t need to book in, we’ll have a registration desk on arrival where you’ll meet Jonny our Children’s and Families Worker, sign in to your group and receive your welcome bag!

At the end of each session you’ll receive a ‘Take Home Truth Sheet’ to explore during the week, if you miss any sessions you can download the sheets by clicking on the dates below.

If you have any more questions then please do get in touch – we can’t wait to meet you!
