International Mission Partners

St George’s has long-standing and close connections with several different mission partners across the world. We aim to support the equipping of overseas partners through prayer backing and raising funds as well as personal connection. Some of these are listed below:

  • Ian & Simea Meldrum, Olinda, Brazil (Service of Hope)

Rev Ian Meldrum, originally from this church, went to Brazil 40 years ago where he married Simea. They minister together, in a thriving church next to the rubbish dump in Olinda. When the church is not being used for services, it runs a variety of caring activities for children and their families. They also run ‘My Father’s House’ - a fully staffed safe house for homeless boys from the streets and ‘The Farm’ - a place of escape/refuge for children and their families.

  • David Kereto

The Maasai Evangelistic Association (MEA), led by Pastor David Kereto, helps rural Maasai communities through various projects including church plants; education for children and employment training. In particular at Olorroito we have supported financially the building of a church and preschool and now look to support the ongoing costs of this.

  • FRRME (The Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East)

We particularly support the work of St. George’s, Baghdad.
